Don't ask me, but somehow they're still making movies about the Amityville house, where real murders did occur but all the ghost stories and such were seemingly hoaxed but it remains one of the most popular haunting accounts in American folklore. I guess truth never gets in the way of a good story. Well now production company The Asylum has a new film coming called The Amityville Haunting and here's what their website says:"Earlier this year we were contacted by the estate of the Benson family who had briefly rented the infamous house on Long Island, New York. The family has since disappeared and the estate is determined to prove that the Bensons did not abscond to avoid paying their debts (as their banks and other creditors have claimed). Watch The Amityville Haunting on December 27, 2011 and decide the truth for yourself."
From this trailer it appears to be sort of a first-person shot/found footage type film. Seems sort of fun. We'll see I guess.
